When discovered, the island of Mauritius is a habitat for bird species that were once strangers. Portuguese name dodo (Simpleton) as the dodo did not look very bright. However, in 1681′s, all the dodo birds have been killed by the inhabitants of the island or the pet population. Dodo bird was still functioning as a symbol by supporters of the state
